Indian Trails Middle School will be having a question and answer session with their principal, followed by breakout sessions on several topics. Local organizations, clubs and partners will have booths there to share information; we're one of them!
There is also a 2:30 - 4 PM session; we will be present at the evening session.
Please bring a canned food item for the Builders Club - sponsored food drive!

Rutland Global Issues Network (GIN) Conference

We are scheduled to host a breakout session at this conference via Skype.
We will present the research we have obtained (including surveys we conducted) on the role of social studies and current events in education, then talk about what we have accomplished with our project. Then, we will host a discussion on how to get current events involved in more classrooms. We hope to obtain personal statements from audience members for possible use in our project, or as part of an article for this blog. We aim to leave with students feeling encouraged to be more active in social studies, and to participate in discussion about what is going on in their world.
